Kovid won the National Textile Corporation's Young Designer Hunt in 2013 and earned an MFA in Fashion Design in 2019. He gained recognition as a contestant on Project Runway (2019) and a finalist on Project Runway Redemption (2021). In 2022, he launched his RTW Spring/Summer collection in collaboration with SHEIN.
